Jane Perry was raised in Far East Asia and completed her undergraduate degree in France. She worked several years in the performing arts — in both creative and administrative positions. The two professional theatres she co-founded and managed still thrive today. It is Jane’s commitment to personal growth and development that led her to the coaching profession several years ago. She is now a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.

Jane’s primary interest is in the transformative capacity of coaching on individuals and businesses. She chose to complete the Newfield Network’s coach-training programs in both life and organizational coaching because of their emphasis on long-term sustainable change over quick-fix results. Jane is an experienced program designer and leader, coaching both French- and English-speaking clients. With Will Smolak, she created Leadership Is Relationship™ as a means to promote deeper awareness of oneself, and understanding of how one can more successfully interact with others and practice leadership in the workplace.

About Will Smolak MSW

Since 1995, Will has devoted his professional life to providing coaching services to executives and managers in the financial, media and utility industries. Before coaching became his primary focus, he counseled and provided training to individuals and groups in a variety of settings. These settings include a private psychotherapy clinic which he owned and operated for several years, employee assistance counseling and training, managed care psychotherapy for corporations such as Bechtel Power and Chevron and a private therapy practice in Berkeley, CA and Santa Fe, NM.

He has co-authored the Leadership is Relationship™ program with Jane Perry to provide a structure in which the individual professional can focus on specific areas needing development and, at the same time, deepen his or her understanding and practice of foundational leadership skills. Over the 37 years that he has been assisting people in realizing their potential with regard to these skills, he has discovered that self-knowledge and self-aware behavior in relationship with others are the keys to leadership excellence. These concepts are at the core of the Leadership is Relationship™ program.
